The work of Sheharzad Arshad is very dark and almost comical in some sence, images surrounding the idea of childhood fairytales and other storys told from adult to child. The macabre images are rather sweet from the offset, some looking much darker then others. These little cartoons are very well thought out. The use of text is very important in these images and its clear they are been well thought out in the original idea of the work.  The idea of using cartoon styles roots itself in the idea of childhood to which the images seem to continue. I looked at this work because of its use of changing well known stories and tales and converting them to something different, taking a totally different twist on it. i actually find the images rather beautiful and ironic.
